All 15 tour "OPEN CITY experiences" report ② backyard tour

In "SHIBUYA machibiraki 2024", we performed place of Shibuya who could not usually enter and special "OPEN CITY experience" that we could experience only for summer vacation tour. We invited public participation for all 15 tours and had you participate toward 239 people. "We sneak into the backside space this time (only 1 tour was called off because of bad weather)! We send design of tour over backyard which cannot usually enter as backyard tour.

◤THE TOKYO TOILET cleaning experience◢
Experience-based summary: 17 public restroom "THE TOKYO TOILET" which 16 world-famous creators of Shibuya-ku dealt with. It becomes cleaning experience society using cleaning demonstration by Tokyo saniteishon in charge of cleaning of this "THE TOKYO TOILET" and specialized appliance.

At first, there was explanation of TOKYO TOILET where 17 places were in Shibuya-ku from Shibuya-ku Tourism Association, and it was informed restroom of Tadao Ando design today to clean.
In cleaning experience, there was explanation about cleaning method of mirror and toilet. Sponge was separated by color in the one for toilet and other places use, and it was directed earthenware to use tender mask. It was lectured children in triangle occasion of toilet paper and practiced. Children cleaned washstand, and adult cleaned floor with electric brush and high pressure washing machine with toilets finally. Children in particular enjoyed electric brush and high pressure washing machine and operated. Through this experience, it was usually at opportunity to feel will of thanks for effort of invisible dustmen.






◤Shibuya-ku government office main government building visit tour◢

In disaster prevention room, we observed state in Shibuya-ku through large monitor in real time and watched television transmission of each station with multi-monitor at the same time. We received explanation about concrete correspondence to be carried out at the time of disaster from person in charge of disaster prevention. As torrential rain was generated on the day before, parent and child who participated heard story with deep interest.
Afterwards, we usually observed the head of a ward room not to let. As children were tense a little, as for the question to the head of a ward, we enjoyed experience that interest was special deeply for figure skating of Hachi-ko decorated in the head of a ward room although there was few.
Furthermore, in assembly hall in ward office, we sat at each member of the Diet seat and received explanation of assembly. We sat in place seen only from seat for the public and usually performed experience to put up shimeihyo. In this way, we were able to obtain good opportunity to learn how area was run about administration again.

◤ Tour "Bunka-mura Cruise" in hall◢
Experience-based summary: Tour in hall making a round trip of compound cultural facility Bunka-mura where "ship" was designed in motif with trivia talk. We usually lead to the stage top that cannot enter during business. Do you not follow direction to hide behind in everywhere of building with history of 35 years slowly and carefully?

Flow of visit began with lecture with monitor in front of reception desk, and explanation in facade, cafe restaurant "do Mago Paris" advanced in order of theater Cocoon and orchard hall. Guidance by the staff dressed in captain and crew was wonderful direction that totally observed the ship of luxurious passenger liner.
By receiving explanation about design of building, there was new discovery. Design with sail of ship as motif is made on the front door, and, in the ceiling going to entrance hall, design, banister which were conscious of wave imitate railing of ship. Designs which made ship motif everywhere in facilities were studded with and learned what we did not notice if we did not hear the commentary. By hearing these commentaries, was able to notice new charm of Bunka-mura.
Participant was usually impressed by the details of building which did not notice and was able to enjoy Bunka-mura in new viewpoint.
