The Shibuya station square area management
Shibuya Area Management Association (the location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Director representative: Yoichiro Sakai) publishes "sustained town planning" in Shibuya station square area and performs various approaches to do problem solution to town and public clearance more attractively.
We aimed at making environment where thing, artist who did public space from all over thing, the redevelopment to solve the issue of scenery such as graffiti, sticker in front of Shibuya Station in 2023 wealthily could challenge and started artist open call for participants platform "TYPELESS" (type Les) which sent new expression to urban space of Shibuya.
This plan is open call for participants plan of artist curator equal to art work to notify to target medium in front of Shibuya Station based on the concept mentioned above. We carried out over twice of 2023 and 2024 in total and realized turnout creation of solution, town of scenery problem of town.
This time of the third "TYPELESS Vol.3" will start open call for participants of participation artist on carrying out. Notice of work is plan from February, 2026.
It is development at place where various people including station user and visit to Japan tourist come and go on the stage of pillar in front of Shibuya Station Mark City this time becoming the third. We look forward to suggestion from all of the culture realizing space full of further charm as node like Shibuya.
